learn moreA moving art piece calico cat hand-carved from cherry and finished with mineral oil, stains and paint pens.
ProcessA cup made in the likeness of a diamondback rattlesnake, native to my childhood home in the Mojave Desert. Also, I'm year of the snake.
ProcessAs a part of Environmental Analysis and Science, I was part of a team which undertook field sampling and performed x-ray fluorescence and stereoscope analysis on the soil samples collected. The goal was to assess the contents of potentially-hazardous contaminants, such as lead or arsenic in a public park.
ReportAs a part of the Olin class Environmental Analysis and Science, I was a part of a team in charge of creating a report containing visualizations for and summarizing water quality data collection techniques and trends in the Muddy River, a tributary of the Charles. This report was given to the Charles River Watershed Association, along with other class deliverables to advance the work in monitoring the water quality of the river.
ReportThis project was done with data collected from Olin College of Engineering’s Affordable Design and Entrepreneurship (ADE) capstone Air Partners team. Air Partners possesses the largest network of air quality sensors set up around the city of Boston, and my data analysis was conducted with a sensor set up at a corner of Cottage and Dudley street in Roxbury, Massachusetts.
ReportAs a part of the Affordable Design and Entrepreneurship (ADE) capstone course, I was design and mechanical lead on the development of a hearing screening device designed to be cheaper, more user-friendly, and durable.
learn moreA series of designs made for the Olin College Student Union (OCSU). A membership card, posters, and banners!
See moreAn internal pitch competition at Autodesk for its 2023 summer interns; our team won the execution award for our presentation and animated video, drawn by yours truly.
Pitch VideoI wanted to design my own Transformers toy; a huge part of my childhood was playing with the part acion figure, car, and puzzle box. Still a work-in-progress, but I'm still proud!
SummaryI made some rolling pins as my first foray into the wood lathe at Autodesk. Simple, but great for getting to know a new machine.
See moreA dice machined by hand on an untrammed mill to the tolerance of a thousandth of an inch and dice dots via Tormach CNC machine using personally-written GCODE.
A truck machined and lathed out of aluminum and stainless steel. The wheels spin!
A paper that a partner and I created analyzing the data trends between the crater diameter and frequency on the asteroid belt object Ceres and Earth's Moon
ReportUtilizing fluid dynamics equations and analysis, we created a kite resembling the pokemon, Driftloon! Check out the project documentation page and writeup.
ProjectAfter Covid lockdowns, DBF returned to competition in 2022. New tools and a developed manufacturing technique for composite airfoils enabled Caladrius's design, a vaccine-carrying twin boom aircraft with a 7ft wingspan.
We flew to Kansas to compete against 100+ teams from colleges all over the world, and placed 15th overall after successfully completing all missions!
A series of research experiments conducted over the summer of 2022 with Professor Christopher Lee at Olin College of Engineering.
Our work involved tessellating pseudo-origami paper-plastic composite structures as applied to quadcopter drones! We will be presenting at the ASME conference in Washington D.C. in August of 2024.
My first foray into air-dry clay modeling! A parody of the Overwatch character, Reinhardt, instead as a pigeon. Made as a birthday gift!
